Currently, she has been investigating knowledge exchange and experimenting with living systems and biomaterials.

 

Gabriel Patrocinio is an Associate Professor of Design and co-director of the Master’s in Design for Circular Economy, and researcher at ISMAT - Lusófona group (Portugal); Adjunct Professor at UERJ, the State University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)

He’s Senior Technologist at the National Institute of Technology, Brazilian Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Technology.  Professor of Design at the PUC RIO, collaborates on research groups at the School of Medicine and the Brazilian National Museum. director of BIOLAB Rio.

She is a material enthusiast and textile specialist, working as an Associate Professor in Design and Materialities at the Aalto University, Finland. She operates between research and practice, and she is involved in several material research projects focusing on bio-based materials

Doctoral researcher at Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture. Ena is an interdisciplinary design researcher, working at the intersection between biology, design, and co-learning, particularly by integrating biodesign into learning processes.

 

Holding both a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in psychology and the teaching of psychology from the University of Iceland. Director of Fab Lab Reykjavík, a distinguished prototyping lab in Iceland. Under her leadership, Fab Lab Reykjavík has embraced a pioneering role in biodesign, enhancing its capabilities to support green innovations.

She is an Educational Specialist and Project Manager at Fab Lab Reykjavík. She has built her career around creativity, technology, innovation, and education, focusing her research on enhancing creativity skills and fostering independent knowledge-seeking. Bryndís is always eager to engage in dialogues about prototyping and innovation processes

She is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Living Construction at the Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment (HBBE) at Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK, and an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London (UAL), UK. Her expertise focuses on designing with bacterial biomineralisation and the integration of altered fabrication techniques with different biological systems.

Fiona Demeur is an architectural designer with a passion for designing and working with nature to find architectural solutions for our cities. Currently, she is working as the project manager of Erasmus+ EU Projects in the Advanced Architecture Group at IAAC.

Andrea Conserva is an Italian architect, building engineer and researcher. He is currently EU Project Manager at the Advanced Architecture Group Department at IAAC in Barcelona where he is coordinator and scientific personnel of several EU R&D projects targeted at urbanism and sustainability.

 

Landscape Architect (PhD). Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP). Researcher at BIOPOLIS, Research Center in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources. He develops research and professional practice in urban regeneration through the design of green structures and the implementation of nature-based solutions.
